Senator Barack Obama’s North Carolina campaign announced today the details of Thursday’s rally for eastern North Carolinians. The Obama campaign will invite voters from across eastern North Carolina – from Elizabeth City to Wilmington – to take part in the event in Greenville. The trip builds on last week’s release of Senator Obama’s economic plan for North Carolina – a detailed, 47-page book including proposals to eliminate unfair tax loopholes for companies that move North Carolina jobs overseas, relief for homeowners hit by the housing crisis, a middle class tax cut that will benefit four million North Carolinians, and other investments to strengthen the economy.
