The North Carolina Democratic Party will host its annual holiday reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 11. It will be held at State Party headquarters, 220 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.

And we have much to celebrate. This year, we elected a new Democratic Senator and Governor, added another Democratic member of Congress, retained strong majorities in the State House and Senate, and delivered North Carolina for President-Elect Barack Obama.

Our victories didn't come easy. For the last few years, we've been working aggressively to rebuild our grassroots infrastructure, reinvigorate local parties, expand our volunteer base, make greater use of technology, and communicate our message more effectively. Our Party and its nominees could not have prevailed without the contributions of time and money by tens of thousands of people like you.
