The North Carolina Campaign for Change Kicks off “100 Days” Canvass

Four New Regional Offices to Open Across the State

The North Carolina Campaign for Change today announced a major, statewide canvassing effort that will begin on Saturday, July 26th, the day that marks 100 days until the election.

Volunteers will be knocking on doors from the mountains to the coast, helping to register new voters and encouraging their neighbors to support Sen. Obama and other Democratic candidates on the ballot.

In addition, over the next five days organizers will be opening four additional Campaign for Change offices in Hickory, Winston-Salem, Durham and Greenville. This will bring the total offices to twelve, including the state campaign headquarters located in Raleigh.

Hundreds of volunteers will be hitting the streets for the 100-day kickoff canvass in 45 cities and towns throughout North Carolina, including Asheville, Cary, Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Wilmington.
