Daniel and Senator Max Cleland will discuss how Daniel's lifetime of public service, from his service to the state of North Carolina as a prosecutor to his outstanding military record, will make him an effective representative for Western North Carolina.
August 23rd is Daniel's "Alive Day," the ninth anniversary of when he lost both of his legs while rescuing a fellow sailor who had become entangled in the line from a tugboat. After recovering at Walter Reed Medical Center, Daniel worked for Senator Cleland, focusing on veterans and military affairs. In Congress, Daniel Johnson will fight to ensure that our military men and women receive the resources they need on the battlefield and the care they deserve when they come home.
The Veterans for Johnson rally will be held at American Legion Post 48, the largest American Legion Post in North Carolina, of which Daniel Johnson is a member.
