Will Richard Burr Stand Up Against GOP Colleague?

The North Carolina Democratic Party is calling on Senator Richard Burr to denounce efforts by a Republican colleague to halt federal payments to North Carolina for construction projects totaling nearly $20 million. Because of political maneuvering by Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY), the U.S. Department of Transportation announced today that at least three North Carolina transportation projects have been temporarily suspended: the Newfound Gap road rehabilitation, the Blue Ridge Parkway road resurfacing, and the Goshen Creek Bridge replacement, all located in western North Carolina.
