North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton released the following statement after Dale Folwell announced his run for Governor:

“Dale Folwell has used the Treasurer’s office to target LGBTQ state employees for political points and advance his own extreme views – putting job-killing divisiveness ahead of the people of North Carolina. His announcement today sets up what is sure to be a chaotic Republican primary.”
