Today, Congressman Ted Budd voted against the Build Back Better Act, legislation that would lower health care and child care costs for families and cut taxes for working North Carolinians. NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder issued the following statement:
“Ted Budd’s vote today is against lowering costs and cutting taxes for North Carolinians — plain and simple. While Democrats are focused on putting more money in the pockets of working families by lowering the cost of health care, making expenses like child care, preschool, elder care, and housing more affordable, Republicans like Ted Budd are only looking out for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations. It’s a damning contrast that they’ll have to explain to North Carolinians time and time again before voters go to the ballot box next November.”
