As Ted Budd travels the state hosting private fundraisers instead of meeting with voters, we’re continuing to highlight the ways in which he’s failed communities across the Tar Heel State – today in Burlington and Concord, North Carolina.
As Budd fundraises in Burlington and Concord today, take a look at five ways he’s voted against their best interests:
- Ted Budd voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which allowed Burlington to receive over $1 million through the Small Transit Intensive Cities fund that will invest in transit projects, bring good-paying jobs to the state, and help provide reliable transportation for North Carolinians.
- The bill, widely supported by both Democrats and Republicans, sent over $3.2 million to Concord to improve public transit – but Budd voted against it.
- No thanks to Ted Budd, good-paying jobs are coming to Concord through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s $1.8 million investment in improvements to the Concord-Pagett airport.
- Budd opposed legislation that has brought the City of Burlington $11 million to make improvements to public health and infrastructure.
- Budd voted against grant funding to expand access to high-speed internet in the county surrounding Concord that will allow the community to connect with the world, apply for jobs, access telehealth, run a small business, and more.
