Wall Street and big banks found an ally in Ted Budd from the very beginning of his time in Congress, according to a new report out this morning. In fact, one of his first acts in Washington was voting to let credit companies charge sky-high fees, drawing ire from the National Retail Federation which “denounc[ed] Budd as a Wall Street ‘pawn,’” and receiving praise and campaign donations from financial services PACs.
