NCDP Statement on Biden Signing CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 Into Law

Every North Carolina Republican in the U.S. House voted against the CHIPS and Science Act

Today, President Biden signed into law the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, which will make historic investments that will poise U.S. workers, communities, and businesses to win the race for the 21st century. North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) Chair Bobbie Richardson attended the bill signing at the White House and released the following statement:

“With today’s bill signing, North Carolina Republicans in the U.S. House, including Congressman Ted Budd, have made it official – they’ll side with anyone, even China, except hardworking North Carolinians. The CHIPS and Science Act is a popular, bipartisan bill that will help create jobs and boost our competitiveness with China. We’re grateful for President Biden’s leadership in strengthening our economy and signing this significant legislation into law.”
