ICYMI: Trump Pledges to “Terminate Health Care Under Obamacare”
On the same day that briefs were submitted to the Supreme Court addressing the GOP-backed lawsuit to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, President Trump admitted his administration is determined to “terminate health care under Obamacare,” even as millions lose employer-sponsored insurance amid the ongoing pandemic.

In response to the president’s comments, NCDP Chairman Wayne Goodwin issued the following statement:
“This is a shameful admission of the Trump administration’s true goal: to eliminate the ACA and the protections and insurance it provides for millions of North Carolinians. There can be no doubt that if the president is reelected and Republicans win full control of Congress, this will be their top priority. Defeating them at the ballot box is the only way to protect the progress we have made and to continue expanding access to quality, affordable health insurance for people across North Carolina and across the country. The president has made his position clear, and we won’t let voters forget it between now and November.”
