Votebuilder + Minivan Training

Join the North Carolina Democratic Party for a deep dive into MiniVan.

Door-to-door canvassing is one of the most effective tactics for voter contact, and the backbone of our field organizing strategy. Instead of spending millions of hours cutting and printing turf packets and re-entering data, join us as we take a deep dive into the MiniVan app. We’ll learn how to cut and send turf to MiniVan apps, how to actually use the MiniVan app to canvass our neighbors, and effective tips for training your volunteers.

VoteBuilder 201: Beyond Spreadsheets

This training will be geared towards current administrative users on Votebuilder. We’ll cover some basics, but will spend more time on advanced topics. It will be most helpful if you’re already somewhat comfortable with Votebuilder, you’ve watched our Votebuilder 101 Training, or have looked through the Votebuilder Guide .

There are a lot of ways to use data in Votebuilder, and often we default to the simplest one or the way we already know. Many of us are comfortable with seeing voter data in spreadsheets, so we request exports from Votebuilder to do what we need to do to win. But learning how to use all the tools in Votebuilder is actually easier for your volunteers, and easier for you to use later in your efforts! Come to this training to learn how survey questions, virtual phone banks, and canvassing with MiniVAN can reduce your need to export data, and the role they play in making sure your county and other campaigns have clean, usable data about voters in 2024.
