U.S. Senate candidate Ted Budd attended a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago last night where former President Trump repeatedly praised Putin as he launched an invasion into Ukraine. The crowd laughed.

“Ted Budd listened as Trump gushed and cheered on Putin, and decided to look the other way. Any candidate that refuses to publicly denounce these vile comments has no business running for the U.S. Senate. It’s cowardly, un-American and antithetical to everything our democracy stands for. Shame on him,” said NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder.
