Fundraising reports note $5,000 campaign contribution from National Pro-Life Alliance
Congressman Budd repeatedly has made it clear that in the U.S. Senate he will fight to ban abortion without exceptions – and now he’s being rewarded for it.
The National Pro-Life Alliance, which supports banning abortion “from the moment of conception” with no exceptions, sent Budd’s campaign a $5,000 check to ensure another reliable vote in the Senate for a dangerous national abortion ban – even in the case of rape, incest, or to save a mother’s life.
“There is no daylight between Congressman Budd and the most extreme, dangerous goals of anti-choice groups that will stop at nothing to interfere with women’s personal health care decisions and put their lives at risk,” said NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder.
See Congressman Budd’s record for yourself:
-
In 2017, 2019, and 2021, Congressman Budd was an original cosponsor of the Sanctity of Human Life Act, which defines “human life at the beginning of fertilization” and does not include exceptions for a mother’s health.
-
In February 2022, he told a group of supports in Pitt County that he was “100% pro-life, no matter how you measure it” and would do anything to “push it all the way back to the point of conception.”
-
In April 2022, Congressman Budd characterized abortion in the cases of rape, incest, and where the mother’s life could be at risk, as a “second tragedy” that should not be added to the situation.
