Both Cheri Beasley and Ted Budd were scheduled to be in Orange County today. And while Cheri Beasley rallied a huge group of voters in Hillsborough, Ted Budd canceled his event last-minute to prepare for a television hit.

“The enthusiasm gap in this race could not be more clear. While Cheri gains momentum, Ted Budd is struggling to earn support and is canceling events last minute. The more voters learn about him, the more folks realize that he’s too dangerous and too extreme for North Carolina,” said NCDP spokesperson Kate Frauenfelder.
